Below will be a run down of my most favorite whiskeys that I have tasted with in the month of January! See something you like, let me know your thoughts. Have any questions about anything I have tasted, let me know!

Stagg Jr
Proof: 130.2 (Batch 14)
Nose: Light smoke, brown sugar, woodiness. Nose is there but its light and enjoyable
Taste: This one is probably one of my most favorite bottles that I have gotten to try so far in 2021. It has everything that I love in a whiskey, heat, kick and loads of flavor throughout the sip.

Barrell Bourbon American Vatted Malt
Proof: 117.5
Nose: Oak and Maple Syrup
Taste: One of my newest favorites added to the Barrell line up. Smokey, oaked full bodied tastes. Just wonderful all round unique whiskey.

Broken Barrel Infuse -Total Wine Store Pick
Proof: 116
Nose: Sugar cookie with heavy almond extract, a full almond(y) dessert nose.
Taste: I really enjoyed this one, it was a very easy drinker at 116 proof, it was a smooth sipper, had a caramelized vanilla flavor to it with some oaky notes creeping in. Overall very enjoyable, and would be a great option to finish the night off with something sweet and smooth.

Pinkhook 5 Year
Proof: 114.2
Nose: Fruity, apple, light young woodiness
Taste: This one the taste very much so matched the nose, fruity, light smoke. Over all a very nice pour that was smooth and easy to drink. For 114.2 proof, I am surprised at the smoothness of this whiskey. I would recommend this to my 90-100 proof drinkers that would find this really enjoyable and very palatable. For my heavier proof drinkers I would suggest this as a night starter to prime the palate for more over powering whiskeys you may consume. If you drink this after more heavy hitters you may find the very enjoyable flavors this one has to offer are muted or lost in your palate.
