Female Whiskey Society

Welcome to the Female Whiskey Society and @femalewhiskeysociety, I am Morgan the lady behind this operation.

I started this group as an open place where women can come together to openly learn, discuss and grow their bourbon knowledge all while cultivating a positive community. We all know the spirits world is usually male dominated, so this space was created for women to share ideas, thoughts and network with one another all centered around the world of whiskey and bourbon.

My husband and I started to dive deep into the world of bourbon and I joined the other pages as well as we started our own Instagram together to showcase our at home tastings @mibasementbar. But over time I realized that there was not a designated space for women to have dialogue with one another and we all know the world of spirits can be overwhelming.

Goals of the FWS

To meet and network with women with the like minded passion of bourbon

Empower women to taste bourbons, develop their palates and be able to confidently purchase or order bourbon

Create a sense of community with also a philanthropic base where we can offer support to our local communities

Have fun and drink the good stuff 🙂
